A Spanish coin for the colonies.

A water barrel for the colonial Spanish soldiers.

A skeleton of a donkey that may have helped build the fort in St. Augustine.

These are all archaeological discoveries kept in a small basement, otherwise known as the City of St. Augustine's Archaeological Department.

"We're making due with the space we have right now," City Archaeologist Carl Halbirt said.
